Blackjack at Pure Casino Lethbridge
On our floor we run blackjack in two main formats, and for most guests that combo ends up working really well. You can sit at a live table with a dealer, or slide into an electronic terminal and play there. Both are set up in the primary gaming area at 3756 2 Ave S, Lethbridge, Alberta, so you are not hiking between different rooms or wings.
In the live area we operate 11 tables in total. Blackjack shares that space with roulette, baccarat, Chase the Flush, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. The electronic table game terminals cover those same core titles, blackjack included, and they usually fire up earlier in the day than the live games. That makes a difference if you want a morning blackjack session or you just like to warm up before you move over to live play.
Live table games usually run Monday through Friday from 2 pm to 3 am, and on Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 3 am. Slots and electronic terminals are working every day from 10 am right through to 5 am. So if you walk in on a Tuesday around noon hoping to sit at a live blackjack table, that will not line up with our hours - but you will be able to take a seat at an electronic blackjack terminal.
| Format | Availability | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Live Blackjack Tables | Part of 11 live tables | Mon-Fri 2 pm - 3 am; Sat-Sun 12 pm - 3 am |
| Electronic Blackjack | Electronic terminal section | Daily 10 am - 5 am |
Saturday and Sunday afternoons build up pretty fast. If you want to lock in a live blackjack seat with minimal waiting around, showing up close to opening time on the weekend usually gives you the best chance.
Getting to a Live Table
The way our live blackjack tables work will feel familiar if you have played in other casinos, but it still helps to know the flow before you sit down for the first time.
When you arrive during posted table game hours, head toward the table gaming area on the main floor. The casino covers roughly 43,450 to 44,000 square feet, so the space is not small. If you are not sure where the blackjack tables are set up that day, ask any staff member on the floor, we will point you straight there.
Once you spot an open chair, you simply sit and the dealer will handle your chip purchase right at the table. You place your cash on the felt, and the dealer exchanges it for chips. There is no need to walk to the cage for that initial buy-in. After that you put your chips into the betting circle before each hand, and from there blackjack plays out in the usual way: you decide when to hit, stand, double down, or split pairs if the table rules allow it.
We strongly suggest doing one thing before you come in: phone us at 403-381-9467 and ask about the current table minimums. Our limits can shift with the time of day, the day of the week, and how busy the floor happens to be. It is simply easier to check ahead than to sit down and realize the minimum bet is higher or lower than you thought.
For a first visit to the live blackjack tables, most guests follow a simple pattern:
- Arrive during table game hours (2 pm weekdays, 12 pm weekends).
- Walk to the table games section on the main floor.
- If every chair is taken, speak with a floor supervisor and get a sense of current wait times.
- Buy chips from the dealer at the table using cash.
- Place your wager in the betting circle before the hand is dealt.
- Play the hand out by hitting, standing, doubling, or splitting when allowed by the rules.
- Tip the dealer if you feel they earned it - appreciated, but never mandatory.
- Hand over your loyalty card if you have one, keeping in mind that how points are tracked on live tables may differ a bit from the electronic terminals.
New blackjack players sometimes worry a lot about tipping. At our property it is a nice gesture, not an obligation, and you are always in control of when and how much.
